ABOUT THE TOUR
The Historic Santa Fe Foundation (HSFF) is pleased to announce a walking tour of South Capitol led by historian Dr. Oliver Horn. The tour will highlight the rise of Santa Fe style bungalows in South Capitol during the 20th century and includes interior visits to several historic homes in the neighborhood. These properties reflect the development of South Capitol as Santa Fe’s population rapidly grew. The discrepancies in their age are demonstrative of the lull in construction during WWI and the Great Depression– times when development was hampered by the labor shortage and an insufficient supply of building materials. The tour covers approximately 1.5 miles over 3 hours. Detailed directions on where to park and gather will be sent out the week of the tour. ABOUT THE GUIDE
Oliver Horn is a historian based in Santa Fe and co-founder of Sunmount Consulting, a historical consulting company. He received his doctorate in U.S. International History from Georgetown University and taught Latin American History and International Affairs at Georgetown and Western Carolina University. Horn is currently a Research Associate Professor at the University of New Mexico Latin American & Iberian Institute. He has worked with the New Mexico Historic Preservation Division, New Mexico Historic Sites, New Mexico Humanities Council, and Historic Santa Fe Foundation, among others.

CANCELLATION POLICY
A full refund for the tour only will be given if canceled on or before June 9, 2023. If there is a cancellation after June 9, the participant(s) will be issued a tax-donation for the amount retained at the foundation.
