Historic Santa Fe Foundation archives materials that have enduring historical value. We make these resources available to both the public and professional researchers and collect and store items associated with the history, cultural heritage, landmarks, infrastructure, and the natural and built environments of Santa Fe. This includes a variety of donated materials and is not limited to printed documents, photographs, architectural records, audio recordings, and electronic media. HSFF uses these items to assist property owners, professional researchers, and interested parties in studying the various historical aspects of Santa Fe.
We accept new donations through a specific archival and accession policy. The policy can be found by clicking on the PDF below this introduction. Please review this policy before contacting the Foundation about a donation. If your intended donation meets all criteria, please contact HSFF staff at 505-983-2567 or info@historicsantafe.org to schedule an appointment or send a proposal to the Education, Research and Archives Committee for possible accession.
Researchers or others with questions about the use of the archives, please inquire with HSFF staff, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm at 505-983-2567 or info@historicsantafe.org and staff will put you in contact with a member of the Education, Research and Archives Committee to schedule an appointment.
