Larry Crosby and his family spent the summers of 1960-1970 in Santa Fe, staying at his paternal grandparents’ house on Tano Road. His grandparents were Laurence and Aileen Crosby, and his uncle was John Crosby, founder of the Santa Fe Opera. At the age of 6, he was introduced to the Opera and came to love this art form for the music and pageantry. Unbeknownst to his uncle, he secured a position at the Opera during the 1974 season, as a Tech Crew apprentice. This allowed him a unique view into the workings behind the scenes.
