The tour is scheduled to start with with a lecture by a local historian and writer Lucy Lippard at the Community Center on the history of the region, its inhabitants, and historic homes and buildings. Lippard will discuss the Galisteo Basin’s original migrations & settlements, Galisteo Basin’s Native American settlements, the advent of the Spanish Era, and the homes of Galisteo. Following the lecture, participants will be given a schedule for their tour and will follow their designated route and finish with a reception at the La Sala de Galisteo with refreshments and snacks.
